Adidas Originals

Adidas and Adidas originals have been around for what feels like forever and almost everyone from our generation has owned something from Adidas, whether it be a pair of Adidas Stan smiths or a classic 3 stripe firebird tracksuit.

Adidas has come a long way from its modest beginnings in 1920, but the brand ethos has remained the same as that of Adi Dassler the founder of Adidas. His vision was to provide every athlete with the best footwear, for their respective field.

Adidas now has somewhat of a cult status, with a huge number of celebrity endorsements that range from Ian Brown and Noel Gallagher to David Beckham.

A great example of a classic piece of Adidas originals clothing is the ever popular Adidas Adi trefoil t-shirt. It’s the classic short sleeve crew neck tee with a subtle all over print, with the Adidas crest logo on the chest.  It’s an Adidas favourite with its simple clean styling and great fit.

Another example of the retro appeal of Adidas originals clothing is the Firebird track top, which is quite possibly one of Adidas most famous styles. Loved by the masses this simple Adidas track top caters for everyone with its simple styling and classic look. This track top was originally made famous by the sporting world, but the Firebird has now been adopted by the music sceen, especially in the hip hop world.

The Adidas Nizza high is based on a 70’s basketball classic. Made from lightweight canvas, with a rubber toe cap, and three stripe detail, it makes the trainer durable and stylish enough for the street.

Adidas originals offer something for everyone from the retro sportswear to the everyday classics; everybody should have something from Adidas in their wardrobe, if only just to reminisce about the good old days.

Prps are a high-end fashionable brand, which offers denim garments and smart casual clothing for

those individuals that can afford the garment. The beauty of the denim is the way it is harvested and

then manufactured for natural cotton, which can be found in countries such as Uganda, Zimbabwe and

Benin. Africa offers the best resources for the cultivation of the organic cotton as the continent

offers a local climate; durability and versatility, which helps, harvest the organic cotton. Once

this process is completed the cotton is then sent to Japan for the manufacturing of denim. The actual

cotton used in producing the denim for the garments is Prps or otherwise pronounced as P-R-P-S or

“Purpose”.
All Prps denim jeans range from £200 - £500 per jeans and sizes start from size 30” waist to 38’waist.

Humor Clothing

Humor is a coming Danish brand which is creating quite a name for itself on the fashion scene.The shapes, silhouettes and bright colours used to create their funky street wear look, make Humor a hard brand to label.Inspiration for the clothing comes from electronic music and the pulse from the ever evolving street wear from around the globe. Humors use of bright colours and different textures is perfect for daywear or when trying to make that statement on a night out.
Humor has four main styles of jeans/chinos which are all very different and unique. The four main styles are Santiago, Dean, Nixon and Zanka all of which offers a different shape and fit to them. The classic example and the style Humor are most recognised for would be the Santiago. Now the Santiago fit is a classic carrot style jean, with an anti fit waist and a really tapered arc leg. The stand out feature of the Santiago style is the drop crotch, which basically means that the jeans have a really baggy loose fit around the waist, they are designed to be worn low and off the waist.

The Nixon style is another carrot fit jean but with a Humor twist. The fly buttons are asymmetric and of centre, the belt loops are really over sized and the jeans have a real anti fit feel to them. They are a great casual jean which offers you that something different.

Humor really is an up and coming fashion brand with its finger firmly on the pulse of modern day culture and design.

Folk Clothing Spring/Summer 2010

Folk clothing is a London based company founded by Cathal Mcateer in 2001. The clothing lines are all about honest, clean and simple pieces, with dashes of colour, a variety of fabrics and intricate design detailing. Folk draws its inspiration for the clothing range from all kinds of sources from what they see in London on the way to work, to the general street styles all over the world.
 
Folks 2010 spring summer collection has a real retro work wear feel to it. From big heavy knit cardigans, to the chambray style distressed shirts. The collection has a real light and fresh feel, with perforation detail on the fine knit tops, to very brightly coloured t-shirts, there is a style for every mood.
