 Born in the East Midlands city of Nottingham few would have guessed that Paul Smith would have gone on to be Britians most successful fashion designer, even earning a Knighthood from the Queen. His fashion empire is now vast spanning the globe with his own branded shops and with several clothing range including Paul Smith Jeans, P.S, Red Ear and R Newbold. Smith opened his first clothing shop in 1970 in his home town of Nottingham, which is still open today and has never looked back from this point, with shops now in London, Tokyo, Los Angeles and Dubai. Paul Smith jeans is the more casual range within his portfolio and features many Paul Smith T-Shirts and Paul Smith Polo Shirts often either featuring diverse slogans or the company’s signature multi-stripe. In recent collections Smith has taken to placing a multi-coloured Zebra logo to the left breast of his polo shirts. |
