Adidas Originals sponsored David Beckham has paid a visit to British troops in Afghanistan.
The former England captain made a morale-boosting trip to Camp Bastion, Helmand Province and helped raise the excitement among troops for this summer's World Cup in South Africa.
Warrant officer Steve Bowden said: "David's visit has helped us all get in the right frames of mind for the World Cup - he has really made us feel part of the excitement back home."
He added it is understandable that people in Afghanistan get detached from the day to day events in the UK and the thousands of England fans at the camp welcomed his visit.
Beckham won't be taking part in the tournament this summer due his Achilles injury but he will still be making the trip to South Africa as an ambassador for his country and will no doubt be worth keeping an eye on in the fashion stakes.
