Adidas-sponsored David Beckham made a return to the LA Galaxy football ground as he watched a match over the weekend.

Seated away from the pitch, Becks was a spectator for the game between the US club and New England Revolution.

The star sat in the VIP box to cheer on his team, which went on to achieve a 1-0 victory.

And despite his sadness at injuring his Achilles tendon when playing for AC Milan earlier in March, the 34-year-old looked happy to be seeing his team in action.

Beckham was seen smiling widely - no doubt due to LA Galaxy's home win - which will be a welcome sight for many fans of the former Manchester United player.

Those keen to see more of his cheeky smile will probably be pleased to hear rumours of offers by ITV and BBC to get the footballer onside as a pundit during this year's World Cup, which sees Adidas as one of its official sponsors.

According to reports, the midfielder could be the subject of bids by both channels to star in their World Cup TV panel.
