Lacoste has revealed Andy Roddick is the face of its newest campaign.

The American tennis star has been snapped as the latest celebrity to promote the Lacoste Challenge fragrance, following in the footsteps of actor Hayden Christensen, People magazine reports.

Roddick poses for the advert wearing a well-known black Lacoste polo shirt and could provide fashion-conscious men with the inspiration to take a closer look at the range of clothing and footwear that the brand has on offer.

"We're delighted to be working with Andy as the face of Lacoste Challenge as he is the natural embodiment of the brand's youthful, modern image," said Christophe Chenut, chief executive of Lacoste.

Roddick can be seen wearing the distinctive bright green crocodile of the brand when he takes to the tennis court and said he was "thrilled" that Lacoste invited him to be the face of its men's fragrance.

It was recently revealed that Roddick will be playing at Queen's Club this summer ahead of his appearance at Wimbledon.
