Nike clothing sponsored Wayne Rooney is favourite with William Hill to bag himself the Young Player of the Year Award and the PFA Player of the Year accolade.

Rooney, powered by his Nike footywear, has odds of 1/14 that he will land the double.

William Hill has made odds available of 1/50 that he will win PFA Player of the Year and 1/20 that he will take the title of best young player.

For the PFA title, he is followed by Didier Drogba with odds of 14/1, Carlos Tevez at 20/1 and Cesc Fabrregas at 33/1.

"Rooney has been around so long it is something of a surprise to find him still eligible to be the Young Player of the Year, but all the indications are that he will make off with both trophies," explains William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Fellow footballer Theo Walcott wears Nike Mercurial Superfly II boots with an adaptive stud that can retract and extend by 3mm.
